Ghostbusters 3: “They don’t have a good script,” says Bill Murray

Bill Murray is yet to sign on for Ghostbusters 3 and Sigourney Weaver isn’t sure if she wants to be a part of it without him

Ghostbusters 3 might have to go ahead without Bill Murray after all since the actor said on the David Letterman show, “They just don’t have a really good script,” he said. “It’s hard. You know, even the second Ghostbusters wasn’t as much fun for me as the first one. It’s hard to make a sequel. That first one was so darn funny. It’s hard for me.”

He did suggest that the writers might alter the screenplay written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg of the US version of The Office, which has already been revised by Ghostbusters star Dan Aykroyd. “I always drag my feet on it, but you know, we’ll try again,” he added.

However, if Murray is not on board, Sigourney Weaver and the rest of the team might not be either. In an interview with Collider.com, she said, “I don’t think any of us would do it if Bill said no. Why would we do that? I think the whole point is to get together and have fun.”
