The Descent and Doomsday director, who brought the spectacular Battle of Blackwater to life in Game Of Thrones Season 2, has been approached to direct the Season 4 finale, according to Empire.
If Game Of Thrones Season 4 continues to follow the arc of George RR Martin‘s third volume in the A Song Of Ice And Fire saga, A Storm Of Swords, then we can reasonably expect – spoiler alert – Marshall to be lending the same war chops he took to ‘Blackwater’ to the Battle of Castle Black in which Mance Rayder (Ciaran Hinds) leads a vast host against the Night’s Watch.
Game Of Thrones Season 4 will air early 2014. Pick up Game Of Thrones Season 2 now on DVD for £28 and Blu-ray for £36 from Amazon.co.uk.
