Speaking exclusively to SciFiNow, Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, and Rose Leslie, who plays Ygritte in Game Of Thrones Season 3, revealed that not only is Snow’s infiltration of the Wildling camp his greatest challenge yet, but his feelings for the Wildling Ygritte have made it even more complicated.

I think it’s the biggest struggle he’s come across,” says Harington. “He obviously had a struggle in Season 1, where he had to decide whether he’d go down and avenge his father. His struggle in Season 2 was what to do with Ygritte. And then, Season 3 is that classic spy thing of falling in love with the enemy, and the enemy not being what you expected them to be, but actually maybe being something you prefer. In convincing yourself that you have to be one of them, it eventually seeps into your very being.

Ygritte isn’t easily duped though, and the fiesty tribeswoman is still suspicious of Jon Snow.

“Oh, very much so!” asserts Leslie.

“I think the love that she has for Jon clouds it, big time,” she continues. “But certainly at the end of Season 2, of course she’s suspicious and not quite sure how to handle him. We see the relationship between them, for Season 3, develop. I’m not too sure how far we can dive into that, but her feelings for Jon Snow cloud what she suspects.”
