The Avengers‘ original Emma Peel, Diana Rigg, has signed up for Game Of Thrones Season 3 as Olenna Tyrell.
Known in the A Song Of Ice And Fire books as the Queen of Thorns for her mastery of court politics – you don’t get to be old in Westeros court life without knowing how to play the game – and grandmother to Ser Loras Tyrell (Finn Jones), the Knight of the Flowers, and the ambitious Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer), Rigg has an interesting couple of seasons ahead of her as Margaery enters the vicious snakepit that is King’s Landing.
