Season Two of Game Of Thrones promises to be a big one of Jon Snow, the bastard son of the late Lord Eddark Stark, as he heads north of the Wall, to find the truth behind the chilling White Walkers and the fate of his uncle Benjen Stark.

Also, he finds love in the Wildling Ygritte, played by Downton Abbey‘s Rose Leslie.

“It’s a tempestuous relationship,” Harington told MTV. “I’m not allowed to go into details, but I will say that it’s nice for Jon to meet a woman. Watch this space, honestly — [Rose Leslie]’s amazing.”

Teasing Snow’s larger role in the series, Harington added, “Episode nine is a big episode. Jon gets to fight more. In the first season, it was all training-yard stuff, and the world he’s going into [this season] is very much more real. The fighting he has to do, it’s for real. It’s not play fighting.”

The HBO sword and sorcery drama returns to Sky Atlantic on 2 April 2012, while the first season is out on DVD/Blu-ray on 5 March 2012.
