Frozen 2: Magical sequel heads to Disney+

Expect another soundtrack of banging singalong hits to be in your head as Frozen 2 makes its way to Disney+.

Disney has announced that Frozen 2 will be available two weeks ahead of schedule on Friday 3 July on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland.

Frozen 2 follows Elsa, together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, on a journey into the unknown (yes we still have that song stuck in our heads too) to discover the source of her magical powers and save the kingdom of Arendelle.

In addition to the movie, new Disney+ Original documentary series Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 will premiere globally on Disney+ on Friday 26 June. In this six-part series, the filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast open their doors to cameras to reveal the hard work, heart, and collaboration it takes to create the highly-anticipated sequel. For the first time, cameras were there to capture an eye-opening view of the challenges and the breakthroughs, the artistry, creativity and the complexity of creating the feature.

The film stars Kristen Bell (The Good Place), Idina Menzel (Broadway’s Wicked), Josh Gad (Little Monsters) and Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter) as the voices of Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff, respectively. For the sequel Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) joins the cast as Anna and Elsa’s mother, and Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther) as Lieutenant Destin Mattias.

Frozen 2 will be available to stream on Disney+ on 3 July in the UK and Ireland.
