First a new Frozen short film was added onto the start of Cinderella, then a never before heard Frozen song was released. Now Disney has only gone and announced a Frozen sequel! It’s almost too much to handle.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios, said: “We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters. [Frozen directors] Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
Already confirmed to be joining Lee and Buck for Frozen 2 are producer Peter Del Vecho and actor Josh Gad, who voices Olaf. It’s also looking like Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) and Idina Menzel (Glee) will be returning to play Anna and Elsa respectively, but their casting is yet to be officially announced.
