A series regular for Fringe Season 4, and a recurring character all across Season 3, TVLine has now revealed that Seth Gabel, who plays Agent Lincoln Lee, won’t be returning for Fringe Season 5.
In the Fringe Season 4 finale, one version of Lee was killed and another crossed over to the alternate universe before the bridge between the two was severed.
Star Anna Torv commented, “I don’t think [we’ll see Lincoln again]. Unless we go to the other side, no.”
Fringe executive producer Jeff Pinkner, on the other hand, played it a lot more coyly, teasing, “Seth is spectacular and awesome. But as for his standing going forward… to say anything about that would be also to reveal things that are coming ahead.”
Fringe’s 13-episode final series is expected to air in Autumn on Fox in the US and Sky1 HD in the UK. Do you think we’ve seen the last of Lincoln Lee?
