Push and Lucky Number Slevin director Paul McGuigan is reported to be in the final stages of talks with 20th Century Fox to take on their forthcoming adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

Frankenstein is from a script by Max Landis, son of American Werewolf In London director John Landis and writer of 2012’s found-footage hit Chronicle. In previous interviews, Landis described his take as focusing on Igor, where he came from and his role in the story, and confronting various misconceptions about the Frankenstein mythology.
