After months of release date wrangling, the first trailer for John Hilcoat’s The Road has gone live. The adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s post-apocalyptic novel has been feverishly anticipated since it was first announced in 2007 and this first look has done little to dampen the expectations.
The Road tells the story of a father and son (played by Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee respectively) travelling through the United States after disaster has rendered the world a wasteland. It is due for release this winter.
