It’s ben a big week for casting news from Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them as three actors join the film.
Earlier this week, THR revealed that Colin Farrell (In Bruges, True Detective) has been added to the cast and will be playing a wizard called Graves, who will meet Eddie Redmayne’s magizoologist Newt Scamander when the latter journeys to New York.
Also joining them is Jenn Murray (The Fades) who has been cast in a so far unnamed key role, according to The Wrap. She’s thought to be sharing scenes with Ezra Miller’s Kredan, Newt’s magizoologist rival, so it’s possible that Murray could be playing an antagonist.
Ten-year-old Faith Wood-Blagrove has also been added to the film after being selected during a global open casting call. She will be playing a character (presumably a young witch) named Modesty.
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is a prequel story to Harry Potter’s Wizarding World and is set in 1920s New York. It has an original screenplay from JK Rowling and will be directed by Harry Potter 5-8 director David Yates. Other confirmed cast members include Dan Folger (Hannibal), Alison Sudol (Transparent) and Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice).
