Falling Skies Season 2 “a stronger season than last year”, says Noah Wyle

Star Noah Wyle discusses Season 2 of Falling Skies, which starts on FX UK tonight

Falling Skies star Noah Wyle believes season two of the Spielberg-produced sci-fi drama is superior to season one. “I think, in a lot of ways, we have a much stronger season than last year,” Wyle told us on the set of the show. “First and foremost because we don’t have to dedicate so much time to the exposition of what the world is and what’s happened and who these characters are. We are able to start off right where we left off, and that’s made it a lot more efficient storytelling – we’ve got into deeper character issues and more interesting conflict.”

Wyle’s character, Tom Mason, will be challenged in his leadership role this season. “This season has been much more about him embracing his role and taking it to the next logical step,” continues Wyle, “Which is to reluctantly accept the responsibilities of leadership, and to feel as though he has earned the right to do so and has the capabilities to be good at it.”

Season 2 of Falling Skies starts at 9PM tonight on FX UK. Season 1 is available on DVD now.
