Casting is underway on Duncan Jones’ World of Warcraft movie and the shortlist includes Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Anton Yelchin, Paula Patton, Anson Mount and Travis Fimmel.
Deadline reports that Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) is already in negotiations, while Farrell has been offered the lead role (their sources say it’s about 50/50 as to whether he’ll take it).
Meanwhile, Dano (Prisoners, There Will Be Blood), Farrell’s Fright Night co-star Yelchin (Star Trek, Odd Thomas), Fimmel (Vikings) and Mount (Hell On Wheels) are up for the other lead roles.
Farrell, Dano and Yelchin might seem a little unlikely, but then again, it’s Duncan Jones, and we can see the director of Moon and Source Code attracting an impressive cast.
