Duncan Jones’ long-awaited Warcraft movie is still a ways away, but we’re starting to get an idea of what the film will look like thanks to these pictures of Robert Kazinsky as orc Orgrim.

Wired released these two pictures and spoke to the director of Moon and Source Code about the design of the creature (more stellar work from the people at ILM) and why they cast Kazinsky (Pacific Rim, True Blood) to bring him to life.

“We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character,” he explained. “We’ve gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies. We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely.”

Warcraft also stars Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Travis Fimmell, Ruth Negga, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown. Jones directs from a screenplay he wrote with Charles Leavitt.

Warcraft is released in US cinemas 10 June 2016. No UK release date has been confirmed. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
