Dredd and 28 Days Later writer Alex Garland to direct sci-fi film Ex Machina

Writer Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Dredd, Sunshine, Never Let Me Go) will make his directorial debut with sci-fi film Ex Machina.

Garland has written the script for the film, which “centers on a billionaire programmer who handpicks a young employee to spend a week at his remote estate and participate in a test involving his latest invention: an artificially intelligent female robot” according to THR.
