The trade paper states that filming stopped after the crew wrapped on the third episode of the series. Joss Whedon reportedly asked Fox for a two-week timeout in order to work on scripts, the quality of which he was apparently unhappy with.

It may seem like we’re using a lot of ‘reportedly’ and ‘apparently’ here, and that would be because we just don’t believe the reasons. Dollhouse seems to have had a deeply troubled start, and this is not an encouraging sign, whether it’s for creative reasons, or studio interference.

Mr Whedon, we wish you all the best, but we’re not holding our breath.
