Speaking to Attractions Magazine, Colin Baker – who played the Sixth Doctor for two troubled series between 1984 and 1986 – bemoaned the lack of classic Doctors in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary episode, ‘The Day Of The Doctor’.

“I’m not in it,” said Baker. “I can say that Peter [Davison] isn’t because I’ve seen him recently. And I can tell you that Sylvester [McCoy] isn’t, and neither is Paul [McGann].

“None of us have been deemed worthy of inclusion in a programme that celebrates 50 years of a British television programme, of which I was in it for three. We are surplus baggage.”

The Doctor Who 50th anniversary special will air on 23 November 2013. Pick up the Doctor Who Series 7 box set  on DVD for £34.50 or Blu-ray for £36.33 from Amazon.co.uk.
