Eagle-eyed fans who pointed out that guest star John Hurt’s garb for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode was redolent of Christopher Eccleston’s 9th Doctor get-up were onto something.
Speaking to the Eastern Daily Press, Hurt revealed that he plays “part of the Doctor” in “kind of trinity” which includes 10th Doctor David Tennant.
