The DC comic series DMZ is in development as a TV series at SyFy, with the producers of Mad Men and Gravity attached.
Deadline reports that Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli’s DC Vertigo comic has been optioned by Mad Men producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton and David Heyman, who produced Gravity and the Harry Potter movies.
DMZ is set in the near future, and centers on a young man trapped in Manhattan, which has been turned into a demilitarised zone (DMZ) after a second American civil war. The ‘Free States’ armies are located in New Jersey, while the US military is located in Queens and Long Island.
