Death Note character posters for Adam Wingard’s remake

Light, L and Mia get their own Death Note character posters

A trio of character posters for Adam Wingard’s Death Note remake has arrived, showing Nat Wolff’s Light Turner, who comes into possession of the titular notebook that gives him the power of life and death, Lakeith Stanfield’s L, the eccentric and brilliant investigator on Light’s trail, and Margaret Qualley’s Mia, who joins Light on his exploration of godlike powers.

“Based on the famous Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, Death Note follows a high school student who comes across a supernatural notebook, realizing it holds within it a great power; if the owner inscribes someone’s name into it while picturing their face, he or she will die. Intoxicated with his new godlike abilities, the young man begins to kill those he deems unworthy of life.”

The cast also includes Shea Whigham as James Turner, Paul Nakauchi as Watari and Willem Dafoe as the voice of Ryuk.

Death Note will premiere exclusively on August 25th to Netflix members worldwide. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
