Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool movie has cast certified badass Gina Carano to star in the upcoming X-Men spinoff.
THR reports that the star of Haywire and Fast & Furious 6 will play Angel Dust, who is one of the Morlocks in the comics. There’s no word on how she’ll fit into the storyline. The site also confirms previous reports that comedian TJ Miller (Silicon Valley, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World) has signed on as an unnamed comic relief character.
They also report that we’ll see Colossus appear in the movie; the first confirmed mutant from the X-Men cinematic universe. They don’t actually name a star, so it’s unclear if Daniel Cudmore will reprise his role, but given that he did so as recently as X-Men: Days Of Future Past, that seems likely.
