In a recent interview, screenwriter David S Goyer has provided more information on his remake of The Invisible Man. Speaking to Shock Till You Drop, Goyer had this to say about the project:
“I’ve since finished a draft and I’m in the midst of revisions for it right now,” he said. “Universal seems pretty high on it. So, they’re just breathing down my neck to get the revisions done. It’s a movie they’d like to make.”
Previously Goyer has been attached to X-Men Origins: Magneto, but this film is yet to move towards a production date. With the Universal back catalogue proving to be a source of inspiration at the moment (remakes of both Bride Of Frankenstein and Creature From The Black Lagoon have been announced), this upcoming version of The Invisible Man sounds like the more plausible feature to appear next on Goyer’s slate.
At this time The Invisible Man has no production or release date. David S Goyer’s latest project is ABC’s television series, FlashForward. This premieres later on in the year.
