Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Men In Black) has been cast as criminal mastermind Wilson Fisk, AKA The Kingpin, in Netflix’s Daredevil TV series.
Deadline reports that he will go head-to-head with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, and is a great addition to the fledgling show. D’Onofrio has spent several years on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and was recently seen in Scott Derrickson’s Sinister and Jennifer Lynch’s Chained.
The Kingpin was played by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in Mark Steven Johnson’s Daredevil in 2003.
Deadline does, quite reasonably, take a moment to wonder why the Marvel announcement was accompanied by this mug shot-style photo.
