To celebrate the upcoming MCM Expo in London, held from 29-31 October 2010 at the ExCel Centre in London, SciFiNow has teamed up with the event to offer ten lucky readers the chance to win a full weekend pass.
Commonly referred to as the UK’s Comic-Con, MCM Expo regularly attracts tens of thousands of visitors over the weekend, with events held during the summer and October. This time, special guests include Adrian Hodges (Primeval), Tim Haines (Primeval), Colin Ferguson (Eureka), Jaime Ray Newman (Eureka), Eddie McClintock (Warehouse 13), Jack Kenny (Warehouse 13), Joanne Kelley (Warehouse 13), Saul Rubinek (Warehouse 13), Glenn Morshower (Transformers), Lucas Bryant (Haven), Sam Ernst (Haven), Jim Dunn (Haven), John De Lancie (Star Trek) and Tony Todd (Chuck), as well as a host of videogames and comics figures. For more information on this event and others held by the company, visit http://www.londonexpo.com.
MCM Expo has kindly provided us with ten e-tickets to give away to our readers, which we’ll be doing in three stages, detailed below.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, we’ll be picking four Twitter followers to win tickets. All you have to do is follow @SciFiNow and @imaginesubs, and tell us what, in 140 characters, is your favourite science fiction television show and why.
Facebook/Twitter
On Thursday and Friday, we’ll be picking four people who have ‘liked’ our Facebook page. To be in with a chance, tell us on the page what you’d ask the cast of Eureka, Warehouse 13 or Haven in an interview. The winners will receive tickets, and we’ll pick a question to ask the actors and producers at the event. This can also be entered via Twitter.
Website
On Monday, we’ll be picking a further two people to win tickets. To throw your hat in the ring, simply e-mail scifinow@imagine-publishing.co.uk with the subject ‘MCM Expo Competition’, answering the following question correctly:
What was the name of John De Lancie’s character on Star Trek?
a) E
b) M
c) Q
All answers must be received by 5pm GMT on Monday 25 October. Winning entrants will be e-mailed their ticket with instructions on how to exchange it for a wristband at the event. Only one ticket will be awarded per person, but you can enter in all three categories.
Rules
This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom and Ireland. MCM Expo has the right to substitute the prize for a similar item of equal or higher value. Employees of Imagine Publishing (including freelancers), their relatives, or any agents are not eligible to enter. The editor’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Full terms and conditions are available on request. From time to time Imagine Publishing or its agents may send you related material or special officers. If you do not want to receive this, state it clearly on your competition entry.
