BATTLE: LOS ANGELES
Battle: Los Angeles turned out to be one of the Con’s real surprise hits, having been on the radar, but at the edges for quite a while. Comparisons to Black Hawk Down crossed with Independence Day have been floating around, and we must say, we’re quite looking forward to seeing Aaron Eckhart lead a marine squad against alien invaders. The viral marketing has already started, with many banners around San Diego linking the film to real-life unexplained events, particularly the infamous early-Forties Battle Of Los Angeles, when anti-aircraft guns fired over 1,500 rounds into the sky one evening. Colour us very interested.
