At one point in time, everyone wanted to be part of the MCU as it became one of the biggest franchises of all and many actors were keen to join. One fan favourite to join the huge raft of talent is Colman Domingo, who has been linked with appearing in a film in the last few years. Well, the actor has heard, but has a condition if he is to join.
In a recent interview with The Direct, Domingo was asked about the MCU rumours, particularly with his name linked to Kang the Conqueror after the role was vacated by Jonathan Majors and the character was scrapped. But, those links were close to what Domingo would be interested in, saying:
“Villains. I think I’m meant to play a villain… I don’t know why — and I think I’m such a lovable person.” He added that playing a villain is “more interesting” since they are “more complex… I think the idea of getting the audience to pull a tear on a villain is interesting to me.”
He continued with his desire to play a villain in one of the films, and that he could “tap into their humanity” and “more complicated” and “more interesting” than playing a hero”.
“I mean, I don’t know, I feel like… Let’s make it happen. Let’s do it,” he added.
Some fans have suggested that Domingo would be great as Norman Osborn, should he and his son Harry be introduced in the future.
Domingo can next be seen in Gus Van Sant’s Dean Man’s Wire, and was recently seen in The Running Man opposite Glen Powell and Josh Brolin. He will next be seen in Michael, the Michael Jackson biopic, and Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day this summer.
