Out of all the various bits of Star Wars news to come out of D23 this weekend, one of the most exciting is the first official look at Gareth Edwards’ spinoff movie Star Wars: Rogue One.
The photo – depicting part of the main cast, all geared up in rebel attire – shows Felicity Jones (The Theory Of Everything, The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler, Four Lions), Diego Luna (Y Tu Mama Tambien, Milk), Donnie Yen (Iceman, The Monkey King) and Jiang Wen (Riding Alone For Thousands Of Miles), with the previously announced Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker both absent.
In addition to this, along with the announcement that principal photography had begun,Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Casino Royale) and Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Dodgeball) have both been added to what is an impressively strong cast.
