Jena Malone has been chosen to play the key role of Johanna Mason in Catching Fire, the second movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games trilogy. The actress, best known to genre fans as Donnie’s girlfriend Gretchen in Donnie Darko, is in talks to play the former Hunger Games winner and rival of sorts to Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), according to The Hollywood Reporter. I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence is tackling the sequel, which will reportedly be filmed in September.
