The Hollywood Reporter states that Daniel Craig is in talks to star in Dream House. This psychological thriller is being distributed by Morgan Creek and Jim Sheridan is attached to direct – he will be working from a script written by David Loucka.

If Craig signs up for this he will take on a family-man role. His character, after relocating his family to a sleepy town, soon finds the ‘Dream Home’ they have moved into is haunted by the ghosts of its former occupants.

At this time there are no production details for Dream House.

In television news there have been two new appointments, both of these will take effect in the new season of programming. In Smallville news, THR says that Brit actor Callum Blue has been appointed in the role of General Zod, a role made famous by Terence Stamp in both of Richard Donner’s Superman movies. Blue will be featuring in season nine of the series. Adding to this, the publication also confirms that Meghan Markle has been cast in Fringe. Her appointment in the sci-fi series sees her playing an attractive and witty junior FBI agent.

Lastly, Entertainment Weekly has broken the news that Adrianne Palicki will be making a return to Supernatural. Palicki featured in the show during its pilot and played Sam’s girlfriend Jessica. She has since reappeared during season two of the series, albeit in a cameo role. Without giving away any plot spoilers, fans will no doubt be wondering what is in store for Palicki’s character in the upcoming season five of the show.
