According to Deadline, MGM and Screen Gems have approached Boys Don’t Cry director Kimberly Peirce to direct a remake of Brian De Palma’s gruelling 1976 horror classic Carrie, based on a story by Stephen King.
The screenplay has been written by Marvel Comics veteran Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, most recently he was involved in rewriting the poorly received musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and also signed-on as co-producer of teen singalong sensation Glee.
What do you think this means for the movie? Good? Bad?
