Carnival Row new teaser and poster bring humans and faeries together

Humans and faeries unite in this new teaser for Amazon Video’s neo-noir series Carnival Row

Amazon Prime Video has offered a first look at its upcoming neo-noir fantasy series Carnival Row. Meet heroes Philo and Vignette in this new teaser:

Here’s the series’ synopsis:

Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne star in Carnival Row, a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures. Feared by humans, they are forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective and a faerie rekindle a dangerous affair. The city’s uneasy peace collapses when a string of murders reveals a monster no one could imagine.

Carnival Row was created by René Echevarria and Travis Beacham, and will be directed by Jon Amiel. The series is based on A Killing On Carnival Row by Travis Beacham.

Cara Delevingne stars as Vignette Stonemoss, a faerish refugee who flees her war-torn homeland to come to the Burgue, where she must contend with the secrets that have followed her to the new land as well as rampant human prejudice against her kind. Orlando Bloom plays Rycroft Philostrate, a police inspector investigating the murder of a faerie showgirl on Carnival Row.

The series also stars David Gyasi, Tamzin Merchant, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Caroline Ford, Indira Varma, Jared Harris and Simon McBurney.

Carnival Row will premiere on Amazon Video on 30 August 2019. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
