Production on Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War has officially begun and Marvel has unveiled the full list of actors, including some surprises.
First up, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang will suit up as Ant-Man “will make his first appearance alongside the Avengers.”
We’ll also see the return of Frank Grillo as Crossbones, and, interestingly, William Hurt is back, reprising his role of Thunderbolt Ross from The Incredible Hulk.
Then there’s the long, long list of the previously announced: Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner and Emily Van Camp are all back, while Daniel Brühl and Martin Freeman will make their Marvel debuts, as will Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther ahead of his solo movie.
Filming begins today in Atlanta, Georgia, as Anthony and Joe Russo direct from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
