One of the Avengers has been conspicuous by his absence on the Captain America: Civil War cast list, but it looks like that’s been rectified.
THR reports that Jeremy Renner will be playing Hawkeye in the third Cap movie, which already features Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and the debut appearance of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).
We’ve also been assuming that Spider-Man will make his Marvel debut in Civil War, meaning that there’s a pretty full roster for the Russo Brothers’ film.
This news makes that persistent rumour that Clint Barton will be getting killed off in Avengers: Age Of Ultron seem a little unlikely, unless he’s due for a Coulson-style resurrection. Who knows, maybe he’ll make it through Ultron unscathed…
