Black Mirror Season 3 pics reveal new cast

Mackenzie Davis and Bryce Dallas Howard star in the first Black Mirror Season 3 pics

Having already had a tease of what to expect from Charlie Brooker’s extended third season of disturbing anthology drama Black Mirror, we have now got another hint of what to expect in the form of pictures from the first two episodes.

First up are two snaps from Joe Wright’s (Atonement, Pan) episode ‘Nosedive’, starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Alice Eve, with the former present in a world here that looks eerily Stepford Wives-esque, only with the addition of another Brooker staple: people glued to their phones. While it doesn’t exactly give away many clues as to what the plot is, you can bet that there will be some sort of twist.

Also present are two photos from ‘San Junipero’, helmed by Kill Your Friends director Owen Harris. Starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Mackenzie Davis, this one looks to be set in a more futuristic environment – although again, that doesn’t give us any clues as to what’s actually going on. Still, would you have it any other way?

While nothing has been shown of the rest of the episodes, they boast a similarly strong array of talent both in front of and behind the camera, with Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), James Watkins (The Woman In Black), James Hawes (Penny Dreadful) and Jakob Verbruggen (Code 37) all poised to direct episodes, and the likes of Jerome Flynn (Game Of Thrones), Kelly MacDonald (Boardwalk Empire), Michael Kelly (House Of Cards), Hannah John-Kamen (Killjoys), Wyatt Russell (22 Jump Street), Malachi Kirby (Roots), Madeline Brewer (Hemlock Grove), James Norton (War And Peace) and Alex Lawther (The Imitation Game) all confirmed to star in the third season, produced by Annabel Jones alongside Brooker.

Black Mirror: Season 3 will air on Netflix from 21 October 2016. For all the latest TV and online streaming-related news, make sure you pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
