The film is directed by Cathy Yan, with Margot Robbie serving as a producer through her LuckyChap Entertainment, alongside Sue Kroll for Kroll & Co. Entertainment and Bryan Unkeless for Clubhouse Pictures. The script was written by Christina Hodson, who was also hired to write the script for the upcoming Batgirl film.
Starring alongside Robbie as Harley Quinn are McGregor as Black Mask, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Dinah Lance/Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli/Huntress, and Ella Jay Basco as Batgirl/Cassandra Cain.
