Following Battlestar Galactica’s recent departure from TV screens NBC Universal has been quick to map out the future of the show before the release of the final direct-to-DVD feature later this year. Included in these plans is a Blu-ray box set featuring the show’s entire four seasons.
Set to arrive on a twenty-disc set this high-def collection is accompanied by a host of extras. From Universal’s staple U-Control interactivity to format exclusives such as ‘Battlestar Actual’ and ‘The Oracle’, this BSG BD has potential to be the format’s big sci-fi hit of the year.
The Battlestar Galactica Blu-ray collection is released in the United States on 28 July 2009. NBC Universal was contacted for a UK release date, but was unable to confirm one at this time.
