The first official look at Henry Cavill as Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has been unveiled.
Perhaps understandably, much of the speculation and promotion has been centred on Ben Affleck’s Batman, with his sombre promotional picture stubbornly refusing to look us in the eye.
Here, though, we see Clark Kent standing tall. America’s boy-scout stares out at us through the punishing Frank Miller-inspired rain, but it’s a distinctly more downbeat and gloomy look than we’re used to, even coming off of Zack Snyder’s the-S-stands-for-serious Man Of Steel.
That backdrop of smoke-stacks and gothic domes could only be Gotham City, the home of Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight detective! And is that object behind him the Bat Signal?!
Oh, no, actually it’s probably just a ceiling vent…
