The discussion about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has almost entirely focused on the superheroes, but Amy Adams has been speaking about the part that Lois Lane will play in Zack Snyder’s sequel.

Speaking to Collider, Adams said that “Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know?  She’s the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she’s very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know?  So to speak.”

When asked about the proliferation of muscle-bound men (and woman) in superhero outfits, Adams replied “They’re awesome together.  It’s kind of like this big fest of muscles … it was really kind of nice.  And then you add Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot and I felt very short and, yeah.”

The star of American Hustle and Enchanted also put the kibosh on any rumours of a fight between Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Lois. “They always think that if you put in another woman and automatically… ‘Catfight!’ No, I think that’s a male fantasy thing. I don’t think that’s reality,” she told Coming Soon.

“I don’t know how it will turn out, if we’re going to be competition, but we are not in this, I can safely say, and we’re not in real life. She’s just the coolest girl ever.”

Indeed, she pointed out the fact that Gadot was a welcome presence on a male-heavy set. “It’s exciting to get to bring in all these other characters and I was really excited that Gal [Gadot] was involved, because it was a nice to have another girl on set, even if we don’t work together a lot, it was nice to have her there.” So, no more Me Parties on the set for Ms Adams.

It’s nice to see such a sensible reaction to such a silly idea, and fingers crossed that Adams doesn’t get lost in the mix of Batman V Superman.
