Coming hot off the back of the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday last month (which showed the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers) came a second teaser trailer just a week later, this time showing a seemingly very troubled Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) who is leaning into his role as a father to Love (his adopted daughter who we saw in Thor: Love & Thunder).

Longtime Marvel collaborators Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War) direct Avengers: Doomsday, which will hit cinemas in one year. Robert Downey Jr., who starred as the beloved Tony Stark/Iron Man in ten MCU films, will also return in a new role, this time playing the iconic Marvel villain Victor von Doom, which we found out at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year.
The cast also features Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18, 2026.
