Just off the back of Michael K Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire) being cast in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, Variety reports that he will also be starring in New Regency’s Assassin’s Creed movie.
The video game’s big screen adaptation will star Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class) and Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises) and will be directed by Justin Kurzel, who previously directed the pair in Macbeth.
Details around Williams’ role in the film are still being kept under wraps, but it is thought that it will be a co-starring one.
Assassin’s Creed will be in cinemas on 21 December 2016 in the US and 30 December 2016 in the UK. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
