The long-mooted spin-off from Arrow which will see Brandon Routh’s Ray ‘The Atom’ Palmer take the lead looks like it will be bigger than anticipated.
No pun intended.
According to Deadline, the former Superman Returns star will be joined by assorted Arrow and The Flash supporting characters Dr Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Captain Cold (Prison Break‘s Wentworth Miller) and Black Canary (Caity Lotz).
There’s a number of question marks here as Lotz’s Sara Lance met her maker in Arrow Season 3 at the proxy hands of Ra’s al Ghul, but perhaps we could be looking at a Lazarus Pit resurrection for Black Canary… she’s certainly died enough times in the comics.
The site also reports that three other DC characters are set to appear, with none of them having shown up in The CW’s DCU before. With the Justice League coming together on the big screen, perhaps The CW are putting together their own take on the line-up.
The show is currently being developed by Arrow creators Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, and Deadline believes that it could skip the pilot process altogether.
