Angelica trailer sexual repression haunts Jena Malone

First trailer for Angelica, from the director of Teeth, finds a lot of ways to spook Jena Malone

The first trailer for Victorian horror Angelica, starring Jena Malone and directed by Teeth‘s Mitchell Lichtenstein, has arrived courtesy of THR, and it’s full of foreboding, repressed sexuality and candlelight.

Per the site, Malone plays “Constance, an innocent shopgirl whose dream marriage to a medical researcher (Ed Stoppard) turns into a nightmare after puritanical doctors order the couple to a regime of abstinence. Things go sinister as an apparently supernatural force begins to threaten Constance and her daughter Angelica.” The film also stars Janet McTeer (The Woman In Black).

There is currently no UK release date for Angelica. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
