Amityville: The Awakening is delayed again, day follows night

We’re running out of “Amityville: The Awakening is delayed” headlines

In a move that comes as absolutely no surprise, The Weinstein Company and Dimension have pulled Amityville: The Awakening from its release schedule.

Deadline reports that there’s currently no date set for the obviously cursed sequel, which was due to be released on 30 June. It’s been delayed so many times now that questioning whether or not it actually exists seems reasonable.

The Blumhouse produced horror stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, Thomas Mann, Jennifer Morrison, Kurtwood Smith and Cameron Monaghan. It was written and directed by Franck Khalfoun back in 2014.

“Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house”

Amityville: The Awakening does not have a release date. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
