American Horror Story Season 7 is about the US presidential election

We have to live the 2016 election all over again in AHS Season 7

Producer Ryan Murphy played coy last year when it came to American Horror Story Season 6’s theme to the point where we still didn’t know what the theme was when the premiere started airing. The show even released a batch of fake promos during the lead up just to throw us off the scent.

It’s a little different for Season 7, however, as Murphy as has already confirmed what it will focus on: the 2016 US Presidential Election. Yep. We have to relive that shit all over again immediately.

Murphy confirmed the news in an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

“I think that would be interesting for a lot of people,” he said. When asked if there would be a Trump in the season, Murphy said, ‘maybe’, which we’re taking to mean as ‘yes’.

The new series of American Horror Story begins filming in June, so we can probably expect to see it on TV in late 2017 or early 2018.

We’re lobbying for Sarah Paulson to play character inspired by Hillary Clinton. You know it makes sense.

American Horror Story Season 7 does not yet have an air date. Get all the latest horror news with every issue of SciFiNow.
