American Horror Story Season 7 casts Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham will join Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story

Pretty much everything about American Horror Story Season 7 is being kept under wraps, but a new piece of information has been unveiled via creator Ryan Murphy’s Twitter account: Lena Dunham is joining the cast.

There’s absolutely no information at present about the role that the star and co-creator of Girls will be playing or how big her involvement is. Still, it’s exciting to see her return to horror after her scene-stealing cameo in Ti West’s The Innkeepers back in 2011.

He also tweeted on 11 July that “Official American Horror Story Season 7 title will be revealed Thursday July 20. And suddenly… it will all make sense.” So we can expect to see that today, which is exciting. Will it be Election, as widely rumoured? He did drop this hint on his Instagram, so maybe it’s somehow related to the Nicolas Cage Wicker Man remake.

AHS last clue before this week’s TITLE reveal. Ideas?

Lena Dunham joins AHS veterans Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, and Adina Porter, while new faces include Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Allison Pill, Leslie Grossman and Colton Haynes. Presumably there are many, many more cast members who have yet to be announced.

American Horror Story Season 7 will air in September. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
