With American Gods drawing ever closer (we expect to find out even more at San Diego Comic-Con), more and more different cast photos are starting to see the light of day. Now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have this first snap of Emily Browning in Bryan Fuller’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed fantasy novel.
In the show, she will take on the role of Laura Moon, Shadow’s other half who he’s separated from while in jail. Although we can safely describe her role in the books as ‘small but pivotal’, in the show she’ll likely be getting a lot more screen time – you don’t cast someone of Browning’s calibre for a minor role, after all.
Browning features in a cast that includes the likes of Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Pablo Schreiber, Gillian Anderson, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Dane Cook, Cloris Leachman, Peter Stormare, Jonathan Tucker, Crispin Glover and many more.
American Gods will air on Starz in the US in 2017, with a UK air date and channel to be announced. For all the latest TV news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
