American Gods finally gets a premiere date, and new key art

American Gods finally has an air date and we can hardly believe it

Stop what you’re doing, and go and grab a pen and your week planner: US network Starz has revealed the premiere date for American Gods. You’ll finally be able to clap your eyes on Bryan Fuller and Michael Green’s TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel on Sunday 30 April at 9pm.

But that’s not all: new episodes of American Gods will also become available to UK-based viewers on Monday 1 May on its UK home, Amazon Prime. New episodes will launch on the streaming service every week, a day after they premiere in the US.

Starz also intensified the hype by releasing the air date news alongside this new poster featuring Mr Wednesday (Ian McShane) and Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) hanging out on the boot lid of their car, while a sacred white bison loiters close by. Could it be a nod to the Buffalo that stalks Shadow’s dreams? Guess we’ll find out…

And here’s a landscape version of the poster in case you wanted to set it as your desktop background or something…
