BJ Novak, star of The Office (US) and Inglorious Basterds, has been cast in Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man sequel as a mystery character.
Director Webb tweeted the above photo with the tongue-in-cheek caption, “Day 38. A supposed rumor about a Dunder-Mifflin takeover of Oscorp?”
Based on the visual similarities to Campbell Scott’s older Richard Parker – Peter Parker’s father – in The Amazing Spider-Man flashback – glasses, checked shirt – as well as a physical similarity to Andrew Garfield, at least in terms of face shape, could Novak be playing a younger Richard Parker in a flashback scene?
