The wonderful world of Twitter has recently spawned some intriguing news regarding the Judge Dread reboot. Said news comes from 2000 AD comic artist Jock (no surname required apparently), who has tweeted that screenwriter Alex Garland is currently writing up a new Dredd adventure.
Writing on his Twitter feed he said the following:
“Working through script visuals for Judge Dredd movie. Alex Garland writes a great script.”
This revelation follows the January release of some concept art by Jock, which has been provided below courtesy of Slash Film. These images hinted at how this feature would look, if it were ever to come into fruition that is. But as the above quote sends the rumour mill into overdrive (Danny Boyle to direct because of his DNA Films connection?), the more levelheaded fans of the law bringer can rest easy in the knowledge that a versatile writer seems to be on board.
This upcoming Judge Dredd outing has no release date at this time and is in the early production stages at DNA Films. SciFiNow will bring you more news on this in the near future.
