Things get dark in the second episode of Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD, Heavy Is The Head, as the official synopsis emerges:
Hunted and running out of solutions, Coulson puts his team right in the line of fire in the hopes of saving them all. But with General Talbot, Hydra and Creel all on the attack, can they possibly survive? Meanwhile, a mysterious Doctor (Kyle MacLachlan) harbors some dangerous secrets that could destroy one of our core team members.
More good news: there’s a new still! Nick Blood (Trollied, Him & Her) joins the team as Lance Hunter, a mercenary affiliated with STRIKE (the UK version of SHIELD).

STRIKE were originally introduced in Marvel UK’s Captain Britain Weekly #17 (February 1977), with Lance Hunter as the organisation’s answer to Nick Fury.
Like Fury, he’s worked closely with Captain America and even more closely with the UK’s homegrown equivalent, Captain Britain.

After Deathlok, this is definitely the most wonderfully nerdy Agents Of SHIELD has gotten so far…
